Where to Base
Given the island's small size and lack of motor vehicles, all accommodations are concentrated within the main settlement. Staying near the port or the central plaza is optimal, providing easy access to supermarkets, the post office, and bicycle rental services. This location maximizes convenience for exploring the island's sandy volcanic coasts and temperate climate.
Airport Connection
La Graciosa has no airport. Travelers must first fly to Lanzarote, then take a regular ferry from the port of Órzola to reach this settlement. This is the only way to enter the island, with ferry services operating regularly to connect the main island with this quiet volcanic community.
Getting Around
Bicycles can be hired at the town square, making them the best way to explore the entire island. Walking is also a primary mode of transport due to the ban on motor vehicles. This car-free environment offers guests a safe and peaceful experience, ideal for leisurely exploring the surrounding beaches and volcanic landscapes.
Best Season
The temperate climate makes tourism viable year-round. Summer offers sunny days perfect for enjoying the sandy volcanic coasts. Winter remains warm, appealing to travelers who prefer a quieter atmosphere and hiking exploration while avoiding peak tourist crowds.
