This inn has existed since 1683. Matthias Schwer is the 4th generation of the family to carry on the tradition. Here, just outside St Märgen at an altitude of approx. 1 030m, a father-and-son team cook up quality seasonal fare, including local game, and classics such as maultaschen and schnitzel. There is an à la carte menu, the "Tradition" set menu and the vegetable "Gemussmenü" (only by ordering in advance). Comfortable guestrooms and holiday apartments for overnight guests.

It has five really pleasant dining areas, from the charming "Stube" with its old wood panelling and a low ceiling, to the chic "Bergkristall", and of course the terrace. The cuisine comprises Baden and international dishes; vegetarian options are also available. The wine list features a good selection of wines from the region. For an overnight stay, there are cosy, elegant guestrooms.
