Where to Base
Choose your base based on lifestyle preferences. Station 1 in the north offers high-end resorts and a quieter atmosphere, ideal for luxury travelers. Station 2 in the center provides the best balance of dining, shopping, and accessibility, making it the most popular hub. Station 3 in the south is more budget-friendly and caters to surfers and those seeking a lively, casual vibe. All areas benefit from the island's compact size, allowing easy access to the beach.
Airport Connection
Boracay does not have its own airport. Travelers typically fly into Kalibo International Airport (KLO) or Iloilo International Airport (ILO). From Kalibo, the journey involves a van ride to Caticlan Jetty Port followed by a short boat transfer to Boracay, taking approximately 2-3 hours total. Iloilo offers a slightly longer land transfer but may have more flight options. Upon arrival, ensure you complete the necessary environmental fees and registration processes before boarding.
Best Season
The dry season, from November to May, offers the best weather conditions with calm seas and sunny skies, perfect for beach activities and relaxation. January is particularly busy due to the Ati-atihan festival, which attracts record numbers of visitors; early booking is essential. The wet season (June to October) brings heavier rains and rougher seas, which may limit some water sports. For frequent flyers seeking optimal comfort and accessibility, aim for the peak dry months between December and April.
