Getting Around
There is no direct airport in Bansko. Travelers typically fly into Sofia (SOF) or Thessaloniki (SKG) and take a bus or taxi to the town. Within Bansko, the compact town center is highly walkable, making walking the most efficient way to reach hotels and attractions. Taxis are available for longer distances or late-night returns.
Best Season
Winter (December to March) is ideal for skiing and snowboarding, while summer (June to September) offers perfect conditions for hiking and enjoying the cool mountain air. The town is active year-round, but peak seasons require early hotel bookings due to high demand from both tourists and digital nomads.
