Yantai Penglai International Airport YNTZSYT

Yantai Penglai International Airport (YNT) is Yantai’s main civil airport, about 43 km from the city centre in Penglai District. It is best understood as a regional Northeast Asia gateway rather than a major global hub: China Eastern and Shandong Airlines have a strong presence, domestic flying dominates, and the international network is selective, with Korea/Japan-oriented services appearing in airport schedules. Since the T2 opening in 2024, passenger handling is centred on the newer terminal, so YNT is generally straightforward for connections, but not a place to assume deep alliance-hub facilities or flagship airline lounges.
