Hosea Kutako International Airport WDHFYWH

Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) is Windhoek’s main international gateway and Namibia’s primary airport for long-haul and regional arrivals, about 45 km east of the city. It is not a major global-alliance hub: former flag carrier Air Namibia ceased operations, while FlyNamibia uses Windhoek for parts of its domestic and regional network. International service is mainly point-to-point or regional, with links such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Addis Ababa, Luanda, Gaborone/Maun/Kasane, Victoria Falls and German-speaking Europe depending on season and schedule. The airport is compact, but frequent flyers should treat it as an origin/destination airport rather than a seamless connecting hub: facilities are limited, published airside transfer information is sparse, and many domestic/charter movements may involve Windhoek Eros Airport across town rather than WDH.
