Tucson International Airport TUSKTUS
Tucson International Airport (TUS) is Tucson’s main airport, but it is not a major hub and is not a hub for any alliance or large U.S. airline. Think of it as a manageable regional/small-hub airport: seven airlines serve the field, including the major U.S. network carriers plus Southwest, Alaska, Frontier and Sun Country, with nonstop links to U.S. hubs such as Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Chicago O’Hare, Houston and San Francisco. The “International” name is real in the sense that TUS has U.S. Customs and Border Protection port-of-entry capability, but scheduled passenger service is mainly domestic as of this guide date. For frequent flyers, the appeal is simplicity: one main terminal, short walks, and easy ground access rather than big-hub lounge depth or complex transfers.
