Monsenor Oscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport SALMSLP

Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport (SAL) is El Salvador’s main international gateway, about 42 km southeast of San Salvador and operating 24/7. For frequent flyers, its main role is as Avianca El Salvador’s San Salvador hub, with additional service from Volaris El Salvador and international carriers such as United, American, Delta, Copa, Aeromexico and Iberia. The network is strongest across Central America, North America and northern South America, with selected long-haul Europe service. SAL is compact compared with major global hubs, but it is strategically important for Avianca connections in the region; treat it as a regional hub with some long-haul reach, not as a mega-hub.
