Ras Al Khaimah International Airport RKTOMRK
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) is a small international airport serving the northern UAE emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Treat it as a regional, point-to-point airport rather than a major global connecting hub: Air Arabia uses RKT as an operating base, and the current passenger mix is led by regional and South Asia-oriented services such as Air Arabia, IndiGo and Air India Express. There is no meaningful global-alliance hub presence here, and lounge/transfer infrastructure is much simpler than at Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. The upside is convenience: the airport is close to Ras Al Khaimah city, with the airport quoting about 10 minutes to the city centre and about 15 minutes to hotels and beaches. For most frequent flyers, RKT works best as an easy origin/destination airport, or as a practical alternative UAE gateway when your final stop is in Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Sharjah or the northern side of Dubai.
