Vaclav Havel Airport Prague PRGLKPR

Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is the Czech Republic’s main international gateway, but it is not a mega-hub on the scale of Frankfurt, Vienna or Amsterdam. After Czech Airlines ended airline operations in 2024, PRG is best understood as a strong origin-and-destination airport with a Smartwings hub, Ryanair and Eurowings operating bases, and a mix of European, leisure and selected long-haul service. Terminal 1 handles non-Schengen flights and Terminal 2 handles Schengen flights; the two main terminals sit next to each other and are practical to walk between, though passport control/security requirements depend on your routing. For the city, the most reliable default is public transport: trolleybus 59 from both terminals to Nádraží Veleslavín, then Metro A toward the centre, with a rough total journey time around 30 minutes. The Airport Express bus is useful for Prague Main Railway Station but is more exposed to road traffic.

• Public transport bus 59 + metro A → city centre via Nadrazi Veleslavin · approximately 30 min · Bus 59 from Terminal 1/Terminal 2 to Nadrazi Veleslavin takes about 15 min, with transfer to metro line A.
• Public transport bus 100 + metro B → city centre via Zlicin · approximately 35-40 min · Bus 100 from Terminal 1/Terminal 2 to Zlicin takes about 18 min, with transfer to metro line B.
• Night buses 907/910 → city centre stops including Hlavni nadrazi, Namesti Republiky, I.P. Pavlova or Karlovo namesti · approximately 50 min · Night service only, 22:00-05:00.

Taxi

Official airport taxi service is Uber Airport; rides can be ordered via the Uber app, self-service kiosks, or staffed service counters. Pick-up points are in front of the arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2.

Train / metro

No direct airport railway station was verified on the airport site; Airport Express links the airport with Prague Main Railway Station for onward rail services.

Rideshare

Uber Airport is the official taxi/rideshare-style service at the airport; cars are available non-stop in front of both terminal arrival halls.
