Liverpool John Lennon Airport LPLEGGP

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) is a compact regional international airport for Liverpool City Region, parts of North West England and North Wales. It is not a major alliance hub and does not function like Heathrow, Manchester or Amsterdam for through-connections. Its network is mostly point-to-point: easyJet, Ryanair and Jet2 are the key base/large leisure carriers, with Wizz Air and Loganair also relevant. Expect domestic and Ireland links plus a broad spread of short-haul European sun, city and VFR routes, with some North Africa and Middle East leisure flying. The airport is operationally simple: one passenger terminal, short walking distances, and no inter-terminal transfer issue. The tradeoff is that connections are usually self-managed, especially across low-cost carriers, so plan around baggage reclaim, immigration if applicable, and security rather than assuming a protected airside transfer.
