Gatwick Airport LGWEGKK
Gatwick (LGW) is London’s major southern airport: a large international, point-to-point gateway rather than a classic alliance mega-hub. It is especially strong for easyJet, British Airways leisure/long-haul operations, TUI, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Norse/Norwegian and a broad mix of Gulf, Asian, African and North Atlantic carriers. Do not think of it as a Star Alliance, SkyTeam or oneworld fortress, although BA gives oneworld flyers a meaningful presence. For London, the train is usually the simplest transfer: the rail station is attached to South Terminal, with a free shuttle to North Terminal. Connections are manageable, but Gatwick is mostly a landside-transfer airport for international-to-international itineraries, so visa, bags and terminal changes matter more than at a sealed airside hub.
