Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) is the main airport for Medan and North Sumatra. Treat it as a regional gateway rather than a major global alliance hub: it has a strong Indonesia domestic network, frequent Malaysia/Singapore/Thailand links, and some longer international services, but it is not a Changi- or Jakarta-style transfer complex.
