Kansai International Airport KIXRJBB
Kansai International Airport (KIX) is the main international gateway for Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, with a stronger international role than nearby Itami, which remains important for domestic flying. It is not a single-alliance mega-hub, but frequent flyers will see a meaningful ANA/Star Alliance and JAL/oneworld presence, a large Peach low-cost operation, and FedEx cargo hub activity. For most visitors, KIX works best as a rail-connected offshore international airport: efficient once you know the terminal split, but worth planning carefully if your itinerary crosses between Terminal 1 and the low-cost Terminal 2.
