Norman Manley International Airport KINMKJP
Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) is Kingston’s main international airport, on the Palisadoes peninsula south of the city. The airport describes itself as Jamaica’s primary business-travel and air-cargo gateway and says it is about 20 minutes from Kingston’s business centre. For frequent flyers, think of KIN as a compact Caribbean capital airport rather than a big global connecting hub: Caribbean Airlines is the main hub/focus carrier presence, while American, JetBlue, Delta, British Airways, Copa, Air Canada/WestJet and regional carriers provide links to North America, the Caribbean, Panama and London. It is not a major oneworld, SkyTeam or Star Alliance hub, and there is no big alliance flagship lounge scene. The passenger operation is effectively one main terminal, so there is no inter-terminal shuttle problem; most complexity is immigration, customs, security and whether your bags are checked through.
