Harare International Airport HREFVRG
Harare’s HRE, officially Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, is Zimbabwe’s main capital-city gateway and the country’s most important international airport. It is a base for Air Zimbabwe and fastjet Zimbabwe, but it is not a major global-alliance hub: Star Alliance, oneworld and SkyTeam access comes mainly through airlines such as Ethiopian, Qatar Airways, Kenya Airways or South African partners rather than through a home alliance carrier. The route map is strongest for regional Southern/East African links, with a smaller long-haul layer to the Gulf. For travelers, the airport is compact and manageable, but it is better treated as a point-to-point or regional-connection airport than as a polished mega-hub with deep transfer infrastructure.
