Shahjalal International Airport DACVGHS

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) is Bangladesh’s main international gateway and the key airport for Dhaka, with both long-haul and regional links plus a domestic network across Bangladesh. It is a hub/base for local carriers including Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines, but it is not a major global-alliance hub for Star Alliance, oneworld or SkyTeam. The airport is north of central Dhaka, so ground time can vary sharply with traffic. For frequent flyers, DAC is manageable but process-heavy: international and domestic areas are close together, yet immigration, security, baggage reclaim and road congestion can make tight self-connections risky. As of this guide date, the new Terminal 3 has been inaugurated but regular passenger operations are still expected later, so travelers should follow the terminal shown by their airline rather than assuming T3 use.
