General Roberto Fierro Villalobos International Airport CUUMMCU
General Roberto Fierro Villalobos International Airport (CUU) is Chihuahua City’s regional international airport, operated by OMA. It is not a major alliance hub: Aeromexico links CUU mainly with Mexico City in the SkyTeam sphere, American serves Dallas/Fort Worth in oneworld territory, and much of the network is point-to-point domestic flying by Viva, Volaris, TAR Mexico and seasonal/leisure operators, with limited international service such as DFW and Denver. The airport is useful and compact rather than complex: one passenger terminal handles domestic and international departures and arrivals, so there is no terminal-to-terminal transfer. For the city, the simplest option is an authorized taxi or pre-arranged car to central Chihuahua, typically around 20-30 minutes in normal traffic from the airport northeast of town. CUU is not designed as a long-haul connecting hub, so tight self-connections are risky; international arrivals should plan for immigration, customs, baggage handling and a fresh security check if rechecking bags.
