Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport CTUZUUU

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is now Chengdu’s close-in, mostly domestic and regional airport, about 16 km southwest of the city centre. Since Chengdu Tianfu (TFU) opened in 2021, most international and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan passenger flying has shifted to TFU, so always check the airport code carefully. CTU remains important for domestic business routes and for hub operations by Air China, Sichuan Airlines, Chengdu Airlines and Tibet Airlines; Air China gives CTU its main Star Alliance footprint, while Sichuan Airlines is the key local full-service presence. For frequent flyers, CTU’s advantage is speed: metro, taxi/ride-hail and the rail station under T2 all make city or rail connections relatively efficient.
