El Loa Airport CJCSCCF
El Loa Airport (CJC) is a compact regional airport for Calama in northern Chile and the practical air gateway to San Pedro de Atacama and the Atacama Desert. It is not a hub for any airline alliance or major carrier; service is mainly domestic, with LATAM, SKY Airline and JetSMART linking Calama to Santiago and selected Chilean cities. Past international service to Lima has not been a dependable current transit option, so most international passengers connect through Santiago. The airport has one passenger terminal, short walking distances and limited premium facilities, which makes simple domestic connections easy but gives little reason to plan a long airside stay.
