US Airways
US Airways was a U.S. full-service network carrier, latterly based in Tempe, Arizona. In its final network, Charlotte was its largest hub by departures, with Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington Reagan also important connecting points. The airline moved from Star Alliance to oneworld near the end of its life, and its Dividend Miles frequent-flyer program was later absorbed into American Airlines AAdvantage. For travelers today, US Airways is mainly relevant as a predecessor brand of American Airlines: current flying, elite recognition and mileage crediting should be checked under American Airlines and oneworld rules rather than old US Airways charts.
