El Al

El Al (IATA LY) is Israel’s full-service flag carrier, based at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, which is also its main hub. The airline’s network is centered on Israel with scheduled passenger flying across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Africa and the Far East, alongside a cargo arm. Its own frequent-flyer program is Matmid Guest. El Al is not treated here as a member of oneworld, Star Alliance or SkyTeam; for earning, redeeming or through-itinerary planning, travelers should look at El Al’s own Matmid rules and individual partner or codeshare relationships rather than assuming alliance-wide benefits.
