Alaska Seaplane
Alaska Seaplanes (J5) is a U.S. regional commuter airline focused on Southeast Alaska, with its headquarters and operating hub in Juneau, Alaska. Its official background page describes scheduled year-round service from Juneau to communities including Skagway, Haines, Gustavus, Hoonah, Kake, Klawock, Sitka, Ketchikan, Angoon, Tenakee Springs and Pelican, plus custom charters. For travelers, it is best understood as a small-aircraft regional operator rather than a global full-service or low-cost carrier: it carries passengers, freight, U.S. mail and UPS shipments, and some routes use wheeled aircraft while others use floatplanes. Alaska Seaplanes runs its own Higher Flyer Rewards program and is not presented as a member of oneworld, Star Alliance or SkyTeam on the sources reviewed.
