It's a real pleasure to eat here, and there's a good reason for that: chef-patron Daniel Stübler clearly puts his heart and soul into running his cosy little restaurant. He cooks up excellent regional and international dishes, and also does the serving himself – not only is he highly accomplished at what he does, he is also an extremely cordial host and single-handedly creates a fantastic atmosphere! The carefully curated wine list is also remarkable, featuring wines from Baden-Württemberg, Baden and the Palatinate only.

Opened in 1987 as a café by Mr & Mrs Striegel (both pastry chefs), it has since blossomed into a sophisticated restaurant. Once inside, you will be immersed in a Far Eastern-style minimalist setting and have the chance to savour Nakagawa's Japanese creative cuisine, which draws on contemporary and French influences.
