Delicacies include lasagnetta with venison ragout and chanterelle mushrooms, cjarsons and antique apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. There is only one tasting menu, and reservations must be made at least two days in advance.

His cuisine is generous both in the choice of dishes offered (including a few fish options) and in portion sizes. The menu draws on good-quality, mostly local produce – char, trout, Danube salmon etc are from their own fish ponds nearby. They serve various set menus and an à la carte selection. The hotel also has its own spring water, which is offered free of charge throughout the premises.

A 17th-century farmstead run by the same family for four generations, initially as a produce farm (fruit and vegetables) before the younger generation expanded into dining in the early 2000s. The offering, based entirely on organic, sustainably sourced ingredients, is compelling, particularly delicious, and rooted in local traditions while casting a savvy, curious eye toward the present. Dishes are colorful and very generous; the all-female service team is warm and happy to explain the house philosophy. There’s also a shop where you can stock up on treats before you leave.
