Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) is Zhejiang’s primary air gateway and an important trunk-route airport in eastern China. It is not a single-alliance fortress: Air China, China Southern, China Eastern, XiamenAir, Loong Air and other Chinese carriers all have a visible presence, while international and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan flights are concentrated in Terminal 4. For travelers, HGH works best as Hangzhou’s main airport, a strong domestic connector, and a useful Yangtze River Delta alternative to the Shanghai airports when the itinerary is Hangzhou, Zhejiang, or nearby high-speed-rail cities.
