It’s not just the competitive prices that will bring you back, but above all the fragrant authenticity of Emilian cooking. Among the first courses, the “golden” specialties stand out, namely the fresh egg pastas: tortellini with 24-month Parmigiano cream and traditional lasagne verdi. The main courses are dominated by the indulgent cotechino with stewed beans and an impeccable bollito misto, while the ideal finale is entrusted to the celebrated zuppa inglese. Crossing the threshold of this fifteenth-century palace next to Hotel Aquila d’Oro is like stepping into an Emilian tale of aromas, flavors, and memory. Rolling carts take center stage: antipasti featuring hand-carved prosciutto and erbazzone, desserts with zabaione to pour over pears in red wine, and the essential parade of roasts and boiled meats.
