The family that run this restaurant occupying an old farmhouse with origins dating back to the 16C has a relationship with the region that goes back decades. In later years, the farm became an inn and it has now been run by the same family for five generations, all motivated by a desire to introduce their guests to the best local recipes and ingredients. Dishes include excellent fresh ravioli stuffed with cheese produced in the nearby valley and served (in summer) with tomato and basil sauce. A modern wine bar in the centre of Bressanone (Brixen), situated in the same building as the delightful family restaurant, the Oste Scuro. Here, small armchairs, benches and stools are dotted among low square tables and higher tables, all surrounded by walls completely lined with wine bottles. The contemporary cuisine features tempting, generous dishes such as cod with cauliflower, cavolo nero and beurre blanc. Accommodation is available just two minutes’ away in the historic Adler Historic Guesthouse run by the same owners.
