It also provides the dining service for the hotel of the same name (awarded one Michelin key) and will delight guests with its tranquil terraces, contemporary European and internationally inspired cuisine, and a constant nod to local flavours and native ingredients.

This restaurant occupies a typical 200-year-old house on the approach to Es Migjorn Gran in the centre of the island. It features an interior with a rustic-contemporary feel, plus an attractive patio-terrace that can only be booked for dinner. Here, the culinary focus is on simple, honest cooking with interesting French-inspired touches and dishes based around the best market-fresh local ingredients. We can highly recommended the surf and turf carpaccio with scallops, which comes as a pleasant surprise!

Opposite the always-busy Mercat des Peix, you'll find a place where they offer good Mediterranean market cuisine with interesting international touches. Located in the captivating boutique hotel Cristine Bedfor, with a MICHELIN Key, this restaurant reflects the same character or aesthetic ambiance, with carpets, mirrors and vintage furniture not lacking in charm. The young chef at the head, Menorcan Pau Sintes, offers a Mediterranean market cuisine rooted in the island's own products (sourdough bread with Menorcan seasonings, red prawns, sobrasada de payés, Sa Llotja's catch of the day...), which reaches the diner through the à la carte menu and a tasting menu.

Guests will thoroughly enjoy El Rais’ setting and outdoor terraces overlooking the moorings of the Club Marítimo. Here, owner-chefs Marco Antonio Collado and Oriol Castel champion contemporary cuisine based around Menorcan recipes, plus an enticing array of rice dishes that are particularly popular with locals and visitors alike. These include “arroz de senyoret”, black rice, rice with Iberian pork “pluma” with Triguero asparagus etc. Booking ahead is recommended.

Situated within a country house south of Sant Lluís, this establishment reflects the life work of the tandem at the helm, with Daniel Mora at the stove and Nuria Pendás as hostess. In this long-standing house, which started as a picnic area in the 1960s and has been in the couple's hands for more than 20 years, they have elaborated a tasty traditional and regional cuisine, with modern Menorcan details and a small fixed section dedicated to rice dishes, and a complete selection of international wines!

Located next to the rural Sant Ignasi hotel and boasting a dreamlike natural setting; and no wonder, this is a Menorcan aristocratic estate that... dates all the way back to the 18th century! Chef Miquel Sánchez, together with his team, offers Mediterranean cuisine with a traditional base that comes to light through a small menu and two set menus: Smoix and Vegetal. A standout dish? We liked, for the tenderness and flavour of the meat, their beef onglet, confit shallot sauce with herbs and green beans.
