Wuhan Tianhe International Airport (WUH) is Central China’s main air gateway and a CAAC-designated regional aviation hub. It is not best thought of as a single-airline global mega-hub, but China Southern and China Eastern have a strong footprint, with Air China/Shenzhen, Cathay Pacific, XiamenAir and others adding Star Alliance, oneworld and SkyTeam coverage. The airport is most useful for domestic China connections plus a growing set of regional and long-haul international links. T2 is mainly domestic; T3 handles both domestic and international/Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan flying. For the city, Metro Line 2 is the simplest reliable choice, while the intercity rail is quickest when its timetable fits a Hankou Railway Station trip.
