Shanghai Pudong International Airport PVGZSPD
Shanghai Pudong (PVG) is Shanghai’s main long-haul international gateway and a major domestic/regional airport. For alliance flyers, the practical split is important: T1/S1 is centered on China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines and SkyTeam operations, while T2/S2 handles Air China, China Southern, Juneyao and many Star Alliance/Oneworld carriers. The satellite concourses are airside boarding/transit halls, not separate check-in terminals. For central Shanghai, the most reliable frequent-flyer route is usually Maglev to Longyang Road, then Metro Line 2 or a taxi; allow roughly 35–50 minutes to Lujiazui/People’s Square depending on waits and final address. PVG can work well for international connections, but build in margin if changing terminal/satellite, clearing immigration, or collecting bags.
