Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) is Mumbai’s main airport and one of India’s key domestic and international gateways. It is not a single-alliance mega-hub in the Gulf or Singapore sense, but Air India uses Mumbai as an important secondary hub and is a Star Alliance member; IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express also have substantial operations. Terminal 2 is the main international terminal and also handles selected domestic flights, while Terminal 1 is primarily domestic. Because several Indian carriers can use more than one terminal, frequent flyers should verify the terminal on the ticket or airline app before heading out.
