Its name reflects the tradition of the street,which links Praça Luís de Camões with Largo Trindade Coelho in Chiado and borders the historic neighbourhood of Bairro Alto. Ex Libris is a testament to the vibrant literary and journalistic scene that has always been part of the street, having housed the offices of Diário Ilustrado,which was shut down by the government in 1956,and the bookshop Livraria Camões. This building's excellent location places it in the heart of the action,where things are always happening. You can easily step out for a stroll in Chiado or venture out to Avenida da Liberdade, where you'll find the most exclusive luxury shops.
