In the kitchen, the chef continues to cook traditional dishes – at reasonable prices. Most are served in individual cocottes, the slow-cooked pork loin being a case in point.

Chef Sébastien David signs an enticing score using top-notch, mainly local Brittany ingredients. Expertly balanced flavours, consummate cooking and a sprinkling of bold combinations define the score: pollock paired with papaya-samphire-marjoram seasoning or a fennel-themed dessert flanked by a white chocolate ganache and bergamot seasoning. This painstaking attention to detail is also mirrored in the bright, relaxed interior whose pleasant lounge-dining area is set in a conservatory, adding both warmth and light to this town centre establishment.
