Located in Lyon’s 8th arrondissement and long closed to the public, this former 1970s–80s hotel has been reborn today with an entirely new identity. Completely transformed, it is now the Oceania Lyon: a warm and welcoming 72 rooms, thoroughly redesigned with a sustainable approach and deeply rooted in its surroundings. From the outside, the hotel makes its mark on the urban landscape with its characteristic 1970s façade. Inside, everything has been reimagined: flows have been streamlined, spaces reshaped… Thanks to vast picture windows, natural light floods the interiors, and greenery is everywhere in the rooms, in the décor, in the lobby… and especially in the 150 m² central patio, designed in the spirit of a chic guinguette. A lively, cheerful, shaded space where guests can share a drink or a conversation under the open sky. Here, nature is more than a theme. . . it’s a guiding thread, expressed in the color palette (terracotta, deep greens, dark wood), in the textures (woven light fixtures, caned furniture…), and in the overall spirit of the hotel: a soft, welcoming, and authentic atmosphere.
