Poggio agli Ulivi

Run by the Cacciani family for over 100 years, this is one of the most famous restaurants in the Castelli Romani region. Demonstrating a real passion for regional traditions and eschewing modern trends, the menu continues to offer a tempting selection of delicious classic dishes from Lazio, including a couple of fish and seafood options. The focaccia, which is served with the bread, is superb and well worth a mention. The dining room evokes the long history of the restaurant, while the panoramic terrace is a firm favourite with guests.

This Roman trattoria has a particularly striking interior. From its old tufa passageways converted into a wine cellar in the basement, to its charming dining rooms with brick - vaulted arches where hams, flasks of wine, fruit and antipasti all form an attractive display.
