This restaurant, on the ground floor of the Avenida Hotel, has a rather informal character, presenting itself as a gastrobar that attracts attention by being decorated, at the entrance, with colourful vegetables that remind guests of the excellent produce of Almeria. In its dining room, with a completely open kitchen, you can discover a fusion between the traditional and the modern, through the à la carte service or any of its set menus, one executive (Miniature Cuisine) and two tasting menus: Fortuny and Jara (the latter 100% plant-based).

Through the mantra ‘A love for cooking’, an expression that encapsulates Ginés Peregrín’s vocation since his childhood, this chef conjures up Mediterranean-based cuisine that showcases his personality by incorporating influences from other cultures (Japan, Mexico, Peru, as well as the Netherlands, where he worked for several years). Everything revolves around a surprise tasting menu, with the option of careful wine pairings to elevate the experience, where you will find novel dishes like the Risotto-style gurullos with wild mushrooms and red prawns from the coast of Almeria.

Somewhat tucked away in one of the narrow alleyways that dissect the heart of Almería’s old quarter, this restaurant has give a new lease of life to a former “asador”-style eatery. In spacious dining rooms that, despite being renovated, maintain the essence of Castille (one features a beautiful mural depicting a large black and white octopus!), the emphasis is on updated traditional cuisine that has moved away from a complete focus on meat to centre its menu on daily sourced fish and seafood that can be savoured fresh from the grill.

Found next to the Plaza Vieja, where the Town Hall and the Monument to the Martyrs of Liberty (Pingurucho de Los Coloraos) are located. This contemporary restaurant offers simple but honest and well-prepared cuisine, with a good selection of starters in the form of pinchos (such as the foie gras, goat's cheese and caramelised apple bar), options for sharing and more substantial fish and meat dishes (among the latter, the 60-day matured Friesian steaks are particularly noteworthy).
