Just a few hundred metres from the church of Sant’Ercolano in a narrow alleyway in the heart of Perugia’s historic centre, this restaurant is home to chef Ada Stifani who serves expertly prepared contemporary cuisine with a regional flavour. There are two dining rooms here: one with an open-view kitchen and the other with a modern and elegant mezzanine. Among the highlights, don’t miss the tagliatelle with cardoncelli mushrooms and scampi which is full of perfectly balanced, intense flavours.

Dining options at this restaurant include an attractive outdoor terrace with views of the surrounding area (in summer) and a friendly bistro-style dining room. We particularly enjoyed the linguine with carp roe, as well as the stuffed pigeon.

Tradition and a cosmopolitan spirit combine in this highly original and exciting restaurant which serves spectacular and unusual dishes such as cuttlefish ink tagliolino with a perch ragù. An ideal setting, either for dinner with friends or a business lunch (the menu for the latter is displayed on a blackboard).

This restaurant is named after Bartolo da Sassoferrato (as is the street on which it stands), a distinguished 14C jurist. From the street, you head down a few steps to the welcoming dining rooms with their historic ambience and brick-vaulted ceilings that keep the temperature pleasantly cool. The cuisine, which focuses exclusively on meat, is traditional and regional in flavour – an entire section of the menu is dedicated to black truffles in season. Friendly and attentive service.
