Owned by the same family since 1870, this restaurant is now in its sixth generation. They are passionate about cooking, and use fresh produce sourced almost entirely from regional suppliers to serve up locally sourced cuisine at reasonable prices. The delicious dishes cooked up by the chef showcase his experience in fine dining. In addition to the appealing à la carte options, a seasonal three-course set menu is also on offer. The ambience is cosy and rustic; in summer the terrace commands lovely views of Nieder-Moos. Five guestrooms and a holiday apartment are available for overnight stays.

Located in the centre of town, right by the Lauter River, this popular restaurant has a casual brasserie feel and serves flavoursome regional and seasonal cuisine that draws on Mediterranean influences. The daily special, "Schuberts Schneller Teller" ("Schubert's Quick Plate"), is a hit at lunchtime. Entennest is a cosy and charming wine tavern that makes for a more rustic alternative – the menu is the same here in the evening. If you would like to stay overnight, the hotel of the same name has attractive individually furnished guestrooms.
