A village trattoria with a long history, it offers unpretentious surroundings with little in the way of adornment, yet it is the cooking that provides the true reason to make the journey: robust, generous and deeply Tuscan. The menu encompasses nearly all of the great regional classics – pappa al pomodoro, pici, ricotta gnudi, tripe and lampredotto meatballs, rabbit cooked in a terracotta pot, and the ever-present fiorentina – dishes that faithfully narrate the local traditions.
