In the kitchen of this converted stable that oozes rustic cachet with its beams, fireplace and exposed brick walls, the chef cooks up generous traditional fare: house-made foie gras terrine accompanied by a seasonal compote, pan-fried red mullet served with grated fennel and a fish stock jus, and calf sweetbreads sautéed in beurre de Bresse. The cellar boasts a fine selection of wines, particularly regional labels, and the pleasant summer terrace lends another layer of charm to the setting.

This stone building in the Mâconnais region is surrounded by a landscape of vineyards that extends to the Roche de Solutré. It houses the restaurant of a true Burgundian, Sébastien Chambru, who worked notably at Le Moulin de Mougins. In this pretty wine-growing village built of stone with a golden hue, near Mâcon, a young couple of alumni of Lameloise and Villa Madie have opened their restaurant opposite the church, on the edge of the square. Her domain is the spruce space with around 20 covers, wooden floors and culinary references (even in the toilets).
