The ascent to Grad Tabor castle in Laško, founded in the thirteenth century and, after centuries of history and varied use, transformed today into a gastronomic restaurant of romantic fascination, is well worth making. The setting of this excellent “Gallery of Flavours” is particularly striking: a park at whose centre stands an eighteenth-century Baroque manor, once the castle of Novo Celje.
