Il Piccolo Principe

Creative, Contemporary · ★★ Michelin

€€€€

This is the gourmet restaurant of the iconic Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, the undisputed emblem of hospitality in Versilia. On the ground floor, an elegant contemporary-styled dining area unfolds, extending into an exclusive wing adorned with bespoke art and furniture. Talented chef Giuseppe Mancino—of Campanian origin—melds traditions with Tuscan ingredients in his dishes, reinventing them with flair and creativity, along with options from other regions. The choices oscillate between three tasting menus: a vegetarian one, another devoted to the chef’s classics, and lastly, the longer and

Romano

Seafood · ★ Michelin

€€€€

Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026, the timeless Romano continues to serve top-quality fish and seafood, occasionally updated yet always maintaining the traditions which have made it one of Versilia’s culinary institutions. Although this long-established restaurant’s philosophy has not changed over the years, current chef Nicola Gronchi should be applauded for adding a hint of contemporary flavour and technical expertise to the cuisine, bringing it in line with the times, while still retaining everything that this restaurant does best, namely serving fish of the highest quality (there ar

One of the most imaginative and original chefs in Versilia, offering a showcase restaurant inside the luxurious Plaza e de Russie hotel. In a modern and bright dining room overlooking the famous Viareggio promenade, Luca Landi's menu features three tasting options: one dedicated to fish, another combining seafood and vegetables, and a third focused on meats, with the possibility to mix and match dishes à la carte. The courses are elegantly crafted, showcasing creativity that is substantial and not just for show, with presentations that truly impress. Supported by excellent ingredients, the che

Among the finest seafood restaurants in the area, it enjoys a privileged position directly on the Viareggio promenade, a few steps from the sea, with an outdoor terrace particularly pleasant to enjoy during the warmer months. Having returned to his native Viareggio in 2021, Henri Prosperi, a gracious maître in the old-school tradition, will guide you with style and professionalism in choosing dishes that blend classic and modern approaches, with a penchant for some French influences. The menu, divided between meat and fish, always focuses on premium ingredients, the same character that distinguishes the wine cellar, rich with great national and international labels, from Sassicaia to Petrus, including the finest Italian and French sparkling wines. This elegant yet relaxed restaurant does not overlook the sea directly, but is situated on a trendy roadside, adorned with tribal motifs, wicker chairs and dark wood marquetry tables. Here, guests can enjoy a menu predominantly based on seafood, featuring modern touches and imaginative interpretations that make the most of the ingredients without compromising their identity. The menu also features some of the restaurant’s great classics, such as the unmissable steamed langoustines and prawns, served with crisp vegetables and mayonnaise in a perfect example of flavour, balance and technique.A h

Seafood, Traditional Cuisine

Buoyed by a long tradition that has made it a true institution of the city over the years, this historic venue overlooking the tourist harbour continues to stand as a point of reference for seafood cookery. Today the selection of fish no longer takes place at a display buffet, yet the menu – broad and well-constructed – speaks with precision to the quality of the produce and the variety of what is on offer. Crustaceans, deep-water fish and catch of varying size are handled with respect and expertise, giving rise to dishes capable of conveying genuine Mediterranean emotion. Among the preparatio
