Lough Eske Castle is renowned for the best of Donegal hospitality. This stunning, 5 star castle hotel and its estate has a long history dating back 14th century, with the main castle building from 1861. Guests are welcomed by sumptuous Castle Drawing Rooms, a perfect retreat and made for relaxing by one of the many open fires. The bedrooms and suites are spacious, elegantly designed with bespoke Oak furniture, featuring 32-inch flat-screen TVs, Nespresso coffee machines & bluetooth speakers as standard. All bathrooms have marble tiling and benefit from twin vanity units, separate bath and rainforest shower, ESPA amenities and luxurious robes and slippers. The award-winning Cedars Restaurant features produce from the Wild Atlantic Way including seafood from the nearby port of Killybegs. The Gallery Bar offers a more casual dining experience, whilst the Father Browne Bar provides a cosy setting for enjoying a drink or having a light bite to eat. The new whiskey cellar showcases Donegal’s unique whiskeys with bespoke tasting experiences. CARA Organic and Spa is situated in the serene walled castle gardens and features thermal suite including an ice fountain, sauna, steam room, sanarium, tropical experience showers, heated bench, jaccuzi and massage suites, including a couples suite. There is a fitness centre and swimming pool which is located in a glass atrium, offering views over the grounds. Recently added to the wall gardens by the Spa are newly installed outdoor hot tubs. All guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary history tours, taking place 11am daily, complimentary use of the guest bicycles, and access to the swimming pool and gym. For those looking to explore the surrounding area, guests can fish on Lough Eske, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel, while Donegal Town is less than a 10-minute drive. Donegal Golf Club, links golf course, is a 15-minute drive, and Donegal Adventure Centre and Surf School is a 30-minute drive.
