RESORT: 1st InterContinental ONSEN resort GLOBALLY Beppu is one of the most famous hot springs places in Japan. It has 8 different hot springs. Resort is non-smoking apart from the Bar on the 4th floor. Our resort is the 1st international brand in Beppu and OIta are. The main difference in comparison to other locally run hotels is our flexibility in service which is not to be found in that area at this point. Japanese traditional way of running the hotels is very strict and prescribed. Need to pre-book the dinner, menu, onsen times, etc. Our clients will have a choice to chose their own agenda. Our INTERNAL POSITIONING STATEMENT: To align all our teams (inclduing CRO) Immerse yourself in an unexpected world of sophisticated Japanese relaxation. LOCATION: Located in Kyushu island, southern part of Japan. Closest airport: Oita Aiport (only one international flight at the moment from Seoul, Korea, once a day. Other flights - frequest domestic flights. Appr. 50 KM from the resort Fukuoka airport: approximately 2.5 hours drive Recommended way from the aiport to the resort: rent a car - choice of several companies are located at the airport. Advance reservation is recomended. Other ways of transport to the hotel: Taxi: appr. 10,000 JPY one way But from the airport to Beppu city + taxi to the resort Flight time from Tokyo to Oita: 1.5 hours Flight time from Osaka to OIta: 50 min Resort is set on the hill, overlooking Beppu city and Beppu Bay. Atelier Counter – 19 seats Dinner only A counter seat restaurant, with elegant open kitchen, that features a careful selected, creatively inspired menu highlighting European delicacies. Features: open kitchen, counter seating, live station with display fridges Bar 23 seats – inside 13 – Terrace 10 An intimate bar experience, elevated by the sunken bar that allows our bartenders to have direct eye contact with the guests. Main features of the bar, in addition unique selection of Japanese Whiskeys, Sake and Gins, will be seasonal cocktails. Features: sunken bar counter, terrace seating ONSEN (JAPANESE BATH) + SPA+INFINITY POOL+GYM Located on the 1st floor ONSEN: Outside public bath for women and men Family onsen: this onsen is public but can be privately booked for groups of friends Onsen area is connected with infinity pool with amazing views, overlooking the city, mountains and Buppu bay. 4 Spa treatment rooms in the same complex. Reception and bar offering healthy drinks and light heanthy snacks. CLUB INTERCONTINENTAL Located on the 3rd floor together with the Meetikng Rooms offer: breakfast, high tea, evening cocktails and canapes
