The journey up to this enchanting mountain village is something of an adventure, but the food makes it worth it! In a rustic chalet-style setting, diners tuck into flavoursome regional dishes prepared with seasonal produce – the chef is always happy to showcase Swiss ingredients. The menu features mouthwatering options such as "Mario's Signature Black Forest" (beef sirloin, sour cherries, cocoa, kirsch 40% volume) and the "Alpen Tapas" starter. Your welcoming hosts run this long-standing family business with great dedication. Done out in a contemporary take on Alpine style, the cosy interior is very pleasing. The menu takes its cue from the seasons and includes some exquisite game dishes – the chef himself is a hunter! In the evening, you can choose between two set menus – one of which is vegetarian – or order à la carte. At lunchtime, the selection is a little smaller, but there is also a set menu. The appealing wine list showcases the best of the Valais region. For overnight stays, there are well-kept, modern guestrooms.
