Seminarhotel Lihn enjoys a quiet location in Filzbach on the Kerenzerberg plateau. It offers panoramic views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten mountain and free Wi-Fi. All rooms in the Lihn feature solid wooden furniture and come with an private bathroom or share bathroom facilities with other rooms. 7 winter sport areas can be reached within about 30 minutes by car. The base station of the Flumserberg cable car is only a 10-minute drive away. Summer and winter activities on the Kerenzerberg include a dry toboggan run, Airboard tracks and winter ski and toboggan runs. Kids can have fun at the Seminarhotel Lihn's playground in the garden. A public indoor swimming pool with a steam bath and a sauna is located just around the corner.

At this long-established restaurant, Alain Koenig serves up dishes that are pleasingly down-to-earth and packed with flavour. Fish takes centre stage, but there are also a few meat and vegetarian options. You can dine à la carte or opt for one of two set menus: "Complet" (four courses) and "Degustation" (three to six courses). The tasteful decor is classically elegant in style, the service attentive and friendly. Decent wine list. Tip: For private dining or celebrations, book the historical vaulted cellar.

The journey to the village of Betlis may not be the most straightforward (the road from Weesen is only open for five minutes at a time on the half hour or hour), but the stunning elevated location more than compensates with a view of nearby Lake Walen and the mountain landscape. In this cosy little restaurant in the vaulted cellar, you can look forward to the "Gourmet Menu", which is served at lunch and dinner, with the option of up to seven courses. At lunchtime, Beiz serves a set menu, as well as a choice of à la carte dishes. There is also a decent wine selection, and the front-of-house team is friendly and competent.
