  • Philipp Soldan★ Michelin The three lovingly restored historical houses in the middle of the charming old town are really something to behold. Here, the tasteful Hotel Sonne has various dining options, including this restaurant. The fine dining restaurant in the basement of the centuries-old Stadtweinhaus is chic, modern and pleasingly laid-back. (If you are not coming from the hotel, you get to the restaurant via Untermarkt.) In the open kitchen, Erik Arnecke oversees the preparation of a five-course set menu. Dishes such as Ederbergland venison saddle with butternut squash cannelloni, tamarind, pickled beech mushroom8.8km
  • SonneStuben The regional and seasonal cuisine served here wins diners over with the flavours it exudes and its technical prowess. Examples include fillet of regional salmon trout, pak choi, saffron sauce, and braised ragout of local venison, creamed kohlrabi, fried mushrooms. In "Sonne Sharing Style" (for four or more people), the chefs put together a selection of dishes for diners to share. The pretty, cosy dining area affords views of the old town's historical half-timbered façades; having your meal out on the terrace that overlooks Marktplatz is a pleasant option. They are also open for lunch. Tip: It 8.8km
