In this compact restaurant in the city centre, you feel a bit like you are on holiday when you taste the Mediterranean cuisine that leans into fish, seafood, house-made pasta and risotto (they do also serve meat). Already known for his fine dining restaurant in Maria Wörth, Hubert Wallner has created this terrific spot on the fifth floor of the Sparkasse bank building. The lively, modern bar area includes a wonderful roof terrace. In addition to refined cocktails, they serve a small menu of bar snacks, and a set menu designed for sharing, with delicious dishes such as "'Acquerello truffle risotto', quail breast, watercress" or "cauliflower, curry, macadamia nut, citrus". On the ground floor, there is also a café-bistro that has a simpler menu of breakfast options, cakes, bowls and pasta dishes.

The fantastic lakeside location – right by Wörthersee – means the terrace is a popular spot in summer, but sitting inside is also pleasant: the atmosphere is chic and nicely laid-back, and the tables by the windows boast a wonderful view of the lake. Attentive, seasoned staff serve up the delicious seasonal cuisine incorporating many regional ingredients. Be sure to try the handmade cheese and meat noodles. The fish of the day is also highly recommended. And for dessert, perhaps some apricot dumplings? The restaurant is located in the aenea hotel.
