Restaurants nearby

  • Gabelspiel★ Michelin Located in the middle of Giesing, this small restaurant run by Sabrina and Florian Berger is a real hit! This is partly down to the completely unpretentious and pleasantly informal atmosphere – you can sense the owners' dedication here. Heading up the front-of-house team is the incredibly friendly and professional lady of the house, who ensures that everything runs smoothly. Another major draw is the modern cuisine made from regional produce. With prime ingredients and remarkable skill, Florian Berger creates impressive dishes such as wild boar and egg yolk ravioli with cocoa and barberry. A v4.1km
  • Asam Schlössl In his charming restaurant, nestled in the historical Asam Schlössl of 1687 just outside the city centre, Irish-born Shane McMahon expertly weaves his personal touch into delicious Bavarian cuisine. The menu features hearty classics such as roast pork with cracklings and dark beer jus, as well as modern dishes such as barbecued octopus with spicy ox muzzle salad, and steaks done on the Big Green Egg or the "Schlössl Sharing Brettl" (an assortment of snacks for sharing). Both the atmospheric rustic interior and the secluded Schlösslgarten are inviting . Friendly and attentive service.854m
  • Gasthaus WaltzBib This fashionable and lively restaurant in Munich's Glockenbackviertel is run by a dedicated young team. The secret of its success lies in its modern Alpine cuisine – it is by turns creative and traditional, but the sharp presentation is a constant, and the ingredients are the region's finest. Dishes such as "veal loin cordon bleu, Vulcano ham & potato salad with pumpkin seed oil" or "red veal lights, gherkins & Serviettenknödel (bread dumplings)" can be chosen à la carte or combined in a four or five-course set menu. The well-curated wine list is also surprisingly extensive – another highlight4.8km
  • Chang Bistro This smart and trendy bistro version of the main restaurant, Chang, in Grünwald features mostly Thai cuisine and dishes with influences from Japan. Here, too, the emphasis is on high-quality ingredients. The Thai curries as well as the sushi can be highly recommended. At lunchtime there is also a daily changing lunch menu. Lovely terrace, as well as covered winter garden-style dining space.2.7km
  • Atlantik Located in the Dreimühlenviertel, this charming old brick building was a fish market back when it was set amid an abattoir and wholesale butchers. Now it has evolved into this attractive restaurant, which has been designed with an individual touch. Although seafood dominates the menu, it is far from being the only option. Those who prefer meat can indulge in a fillet of beef, to name but one example. Highly recommended for groups: a whole fish to share, eg. turbot, char or Atlantic lobster. Be sure to leave room for dessert – the chocolate cake is a tempting proposition! To accompany your meal3.8km
  • Der Dantler A tip to start with: reserve well in advance! Given the great value for money and the relaxed atmosphere, it's no surprise that they tend to get booked up. They call themselves the "Bavarian Deli". In the interior done out in a slick Alpine/country-style style, the service is personable and relaxed. At lunchtime you can order pasta, a pastrami sandwich, ramen or the fish dish of the day à la carte, or the three-course "business lunch". In the evening, creative modern cuisine is served in the form of a set menu – a vegetarian or pescetarian version is also available (request this when you book)4.5km
  • mokum This lovely little restaurant is right next to Theresienwiese. It only has eight tables, so it's best to book if you are keen to tuck into their excellent, reasonably priced cuisine in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The small à la carte selection is tempting, with dishes such as "yellowtail, radish, leek, mild habanero" or "pâté en croûte, duck, pork, plum". The dishes are also ideal for sharing. There is an excellent wine selection, including wines by the glass. Tip: "Bites for Bubbles" are designed to pair with a glass of champagne. The fact that guests feel at home here is at least partl4.6km
  • Brasserie Colette Tim Raue With this concept, Tim Raue has tapped into the zeitgeist. The ambiance feels like that of a French brasserie – stylish yet cosy. Service is well-organised, friendly and attentive, and the delicious food is prepared using select ingredients. Diners can order à la carte or compose their own four-course set menu, which can also be vegan. Classics such as beef Wellington (served for two) are available too, as well as seasonal dishes.4.6km
